The Recipe for a Digital Workplace

A digital workplace enables new, more effective ways of working; raises employee engagement and agility; and exploits consumer-oriented styles and technologies. It is based on the assumption that engaged employees are more willing to change roles and responsibilities and embrace new technology, enabling organizations to capitalize on the creativity of their workforce and deliver better business outcomes.

“The end result of a successful digital workplace is greater customer-centricity, more employee-led innovation, accelerated process outcomes, higher employee retention and greater appeal to prospective employees,” says Matt Cain, distinguished VP analyst at Gartner.

While each digital workplace is different, they tend to face similar challenges and opportunities. Ahead of the 2019 Gartner Digital Workplace Summit, Gartner has identified seven crucial ingredients to creating an effective digital workplace.
